SC — Spraypainters College

Achieve all round savings in time, materials and money in your bodyshop, through a deeper understanding of the Spies Hecker product range. Work with the latest equipment currently available to the refinish industry.

• Introduction to the full Spies Hecker product range
• Improve basic paint knowledge, sanding and preparation techniques.
• Learn to identify paint defects quickly and rectify faults without delay.

CC — Colour College

We will teach you to match colours perfectly from scratch, without having to rely on a colour formulation. With colour trends moving rapidly towards sophisticated paint finishes, painters require an in-depth knowledge to successfully achieve a perfect finish.

• Understand the effects of OEM applications on colour.
• Learn to use the Spies Hecker colour system and documentation effectively.
• Understand the toner range for solid, metallics and pearls.
• Learn to identify the difference between 2 and 3 stage pearls.
• Practical matching of colours.
• You are welcome to bring along any colour problems that you are experiencing.

PP — Painting Plastics

With Motor Manufacturers moving towards the use of better, advanced plastic parts, spraypainters need to know how to identify different plastic substrates and select the correct procedures to refinish these parts.

• This course consists of both theoretical and practical training.
• Learn how to identify specific plastic substrates.
• Master various painting techniques used for painting plastics.
• Repair and paint previously painted parts.
• Have a good overview of the Spies Hecker plastic product range.

BT - Blending Techniques

Bodyshops are always interested in new ways to save material, time and money. This course is essential to understand the cost savings achievable with the use of blending. Painters will also learn about the products and processes involved in the Micro Repair system, and the new business opportunities it can create.

• Blending metallics and pearlescents.
• Perfect the art of successful Micro Repairs.
• Learn to use the most up to date application and infrared drying equipment.

PH - Permahyd

At the end of the four day seminar delegates will be able to:

  • blend and paint — the correct application
  • blend-in 3 stage, following the correct procedures
  • match waterborne colours accurately
  • identity the different products in the waterborne range
